Shelley as a Fairy in 'Iolanthe'

Shelley Stars in 'Iolanthe'

Shelley has taken to the stage in her latest role, as a part of Carl Rosa Opera Company's production of 'Iolanthe' at The Festival Theatre, Chichester. 'Iolanthe', by Gilbert & Sullivan, is a fantastical comic opera, that satirises many aspects of British government and law. The story concerns a band of immortal fairies, who find themselves at odds with the House of Peers.

Shelley, who plays one of the fairies, says, "It was fantastic to appear in 'Iolanthe'. The costumes and sets were amazing and the theatre was beautiful. Also, performing on a hexagonal stage gave the production team and cast many new ideas and challenges to explore!"
